I've heard about this place in Kalamazoo called the Air Zoo. I'd been meaning to go for a number of years now and I finally went. I was not disappointed with the place and will definately head out that way again.![]()
The P-40 Warhawk. Apparently this plane was flown by one of the original founders of the museum.

The F-14 Tomcat. This is by far my favorite plane. I don't know how many models of this aircraft I've had in my life. And it wasn't Top Gun that did it for me. It was an older movie called the Final Countdown. The planes were done in this regalia. Shame they retired it.

One of the cooler things about the Air Zoo is the mural that wraps around the building. This is part of it.

An A-1 Skyraider
A MiG-17
A F4F Wildcat
An F6F Hellcat. Another one of my favorite planes. I wish it would have been placed better though. It was kind of tucked away in the corner and I couldn't get a good angle to take a picture of it.
A Model of a B-29 Superfortress
An odd picture of the model of the Nimitz. I think the reflections are off my camera lens.
A rocket engine. What I didn't realize is that the Air Zoo took over the Michigan Space Center that used to be in Jackson. It was pretty cool to see some of the NASA stuff.
